Shinshu University will further strengthen its integrated industrial materials science hub that propels supra-materials research and continue studies in the niche frontier. We will create research that contribute to the realization of a paradigm shift towards the next generation "Manufacturing Japan" covering materials design to multi-scale modeling and ultimately, system theory.当研究所（呼称：ＲＩＳＭ）では、信大が強みをもつ先鋭材料研究を進化&深化させる統合型インダストリアルマテリアルサイエンス拠点となり、ニッチフロンティアで世界に伍する研究を展開する。また、マテリアルデザインからマルチスケールモデリング、最終的にはシステム論までを俯瞰した「モノづくり日本のパラダイムシフト」の実現に資する研究を創出する。 材料研究を強力に推進し、以下の3項目を実現することで、ＫＰＩ達成に貢献する。特に、信大発を標榜する先鋭材料を創出し、持続可能な開発目標などの社会的課題にオリジナルのソリューションを提案する。さらに、研究所の強みを活かし、次代を担う研究者人材の育成にも注力する。＊先鋭材料研究基盤の確立：これまでに培ってきたカーボン＆ファイバーの基盤技術を最大限に活用し、先鋭材料を創製する。計算科学、プロセス工学、化学工学あるいは社会学などの幅広い学問領域を取り入れ、高度システム化したマテリアルデザインを実現する。(ニッチ)グローバルトップ研究の創出を目指し、各部門の特長を最大限に活かし、マテリアルサイエンスハイウェイと有機的に連携し、先鋭材料研究基盤を確立する。＊超スマート社会への貢献：エコ＆エネルギーイノベーションへの信大ソリューションの提供の観点から、統合型インダストリアルマテリアルを活用したシステム化・デバイス化を実現し、超スマート社会に貢献する。＊新しい研究拠点のカタチ提案：スモールスケールメリット(省資本・コンパクト、高効率資産運用、ニッチ産業アプローチ、組織＆方法論への柔軟性、学長や理事の超リーダーシップなど)を活かし、統合型インダストリアルマテリアル拠点(先鋭材料拠点)を作る。＊先鋭化した研究者育成：人材育成の観点から、次なるライジングスタ―研究者や卓越教授を育成する。また、超シーズ型研究や醸成した新シーズ研究を中心とし、新産業創出に資する統合型インダストリアルマテリアルイノベーションを深耕できる研究者＆技術者を育成する。さらに、新たなる研究部門を率いるPIの創出にもチカラを注ぐ。We will contribute to achieving KPIs by actively promoting materials researches and realizing the following three points: create Shinshu University brand cutting-edge materials, attain sustainable development goals by contributing solutions to social issues, and utilize the strengths of our institute to train researchers who will continue to lead the next generation. Establishing a supra-materials research hub: Create more supra-materials by making full use of the carbon and fiber technologies that have been cultivated. Implement advanced systematized materials design by incorporating a wide range of disciplines such as computational science, process engineering, chemical engineering and sociology. Aim to create top global (niche) research, maximize the preferential features of each division, link organically with the Materials Science Highway, and establish a supra-materials research foundation.Contributing to the super smart society: Use integrated industrial materials to systemize and utilize devices of Shinshu University's ecological and energy innovation to contribute to the super smart society.Proposing a New Research Hub: Merits of a small scale integrated industrial materials base are small capital, compact, high efficiency asset management, niche industrial approach, flexibility of organization & methodology, effective leadership of the president and director.Premier Researcher Development: To foster the next Rising Star researchers and outstanding professors from a human resource development standpoint. We will train researchers and engineers who can cultivate integrated industrial materials innovation that contributes to the creation of new industries, centering on ultra-seed type research and foster new seed research.
