We will utilize AI and computational science to create research that contribute to the realization of a paradigm shift towards the next generation "Manufacturing Japan" covering materials design to multi-scale modeling and ultimately, system theory.「モノづくり日本のパラダイムシフト」の実現　当研究所（呼称：RISM）では、信大が強みをもつ先鋭材料研究を進化&深化させる統合型インダストリアルマテリアルサイエンス拠点となり，ニッチフロンティアで世界に伍する研究を展開する。また，AIや計算科学も駆使し，マテリアルデザインからマルチスケールモデリング，最終的にはシステム論までを俯瞰した「モノづくり日本のパラダイムシフト」の実現に資する研究を創出する。バイオメディカル研究所［IBS］Institute for Biomedical SciencesPioneering the world of life sciences through original interdisciplinary researchOur departments are challenging the great scientific mysteries of the world in creative and innovative ways.Through an interdisciplinary approach, we are exploring core subjects in life sciences to discover the fundamental principles that underlie disease and health. By generating novel advances of global impact, we aim to become a center of scientific collaboration and build a worldwide network in life science research. Sharing basic technologies and accumulated data on life and environmental innovation will create ways for society to shift social burdens towards social contributions to the elderly and realize significant biological resource gains.独創的な境界領域の研究で世界の生命科学に挑戦　生命科学という大きな未知の世界に独創的な方法で挑み、時を経るほどその輝きを増す価値を創造します。生命科学における中心的課題に取り組み、世紀を超えて研究・開発の基盤となる原理を見出します。この広く影響を及ぼす価値の創出・原理の発見により、世界との人材交流のコアとなり、グローバルな生命科学ネットワークを構築・発展させます。ライフイノベーション・グリーンイノベーションをもたらす基盤技術と蓄積データを社会に還元することにより、高齢者の社会負荷要因から社会貢献要因への転換、圧倒的な付加価値を生む生物資源革命等を実現するための、要素技術からビジョンまでを社会に提供します。社会基盤研究所［RCSS］Research Center for Social Systemsン研究センターから生まれた新しい研究所です。社会基盤研究所は、５部門からなり、経法学部を中心に、医学、数学、統計学、感性工学、言語学、心理学、農学、建築学などの研究者が31名が集結しています。 地域の課題は、一つの分野だけで解決できることはほとんどありません。 社会基盤研究所では、これらの多様な分野の研究者が力を合わせて、地域課題の解決に向けて様々な取り組みをしています。 その成果の一部は、信州大学の教育にも活かされています。3In 2014, Shinshu University established the Interdisciplinary Cluster for Cutting Edge Research to fine-tune distinctive research fields and create new fusion research areas. The Research Center for Social Systems is a new institute created in April 2019 from the Social Infrastructure Research Center and the Food and Agriculture Innovation Research Center, which are “Next-Generation Cluster Research Centers”.The Research Center for Social Systems consists of members from five departments with the Faculty of Economics and Law at the core. 31 researchers from the fields of medicine, mathematics, statistics, Kansei engineering, linguistics, psychology, agriculture, and architecture are included. Local issues are rarely solved through just one subject area. At the Research Center for Social Systems, researchers from these diverse disciplines work together to solve regional issues. Some of the fruits of their labor have been utilized in classrooms at Shinshu University.信州大学では、2014年に、特色ある研究分野を先鋭化し、新たな融合研究領域を創造するために先鋭領域融合研究群が設置されました。社会基盤研究所は、 2019年4月に、次の研究群研究所を目指す「次世代クラスター研究センター」である 社会基盤研究センターと食農イノベーショ
