TOPICSShinshu University was founded as a new-system university in 1949, which means it celebrated its 70th anniversary last year. At the same time, one of its predecessors, the former Matsumoto Higher School, celebrated its centenary. To mark these auspicious anniversaries, the University held a commemorative ceremony on 1 June 2019.Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Shinshu UniversityA Shinshu University Anthem was composed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the University. The chosen anthem was selected from many entries in a public competition.
