Evolutionarycomputationisusedtofindoptimalsolutionstomulti-objective,largescale,complexoptimizationproblemsEvolutionarycomputationsimulatesevolutionanditisappliedtosolveavarietyofdesigninnovationandsustainabilityproblems教授AGUIRRE HERNAN研究から広がる未来卒業後の未来像Evolutionarycomputationusescomputationalmodelsofnaturalevolutiontosolvecomplexproblemsinscienceandengineering.Thecreationofsustainablesystemstomeetourneedswithoutcompromisingfuturegenerationsisasocialchallenge.Itdemandsthedevelopmentofnewtechnologiesandtheredesignofourinfrastructure,balancingenvironmental,economic,andsocietalneeds.Sustainabilityproblemsareintrinsicallycomplex,dynamic,large-scale,spanseveraldisciplines,andrequiremultidisciplinaryeffortsandmethodstosolvethem.Weusethepowerofevolutionarycomputationfordesigninnovationandoptimizationofsolutionstocomplexsustainabilityproblems.Evolutionarycomputationwillplayanimportantroleindesigninnovationinkeyindustries,suchasautomobileandspaceexploration.Itwillalsobeusedtooptimizethedesignofsmartpowergrids,intelligenttransportationandmobility,andsmartwatergridsseekingtoimprovetheirsustainability.IntheLaboratorywelearnaboutreal-worldproblem-solvingandoptimizationbycomputationalmeans.Thisrequiresaclearunderstandingoftheproblem,itsmodeling,andthecreationofaprogramtosolveit.Thereisalsoopportunitiestocollaborateinjointresearchwithindustry.Theseactivitiescomplementtheundergraduateeducation.Ecuadorian Engineer.PhD from Shinshu University , 2003.
