Cao XiInJapannotonlypopulationbutalsobridgeshavebeenproceedingrapidlyaging.InNaganoPrefecture,about54%bridgeswillbeorovertheageof50andbeagingbridgesin2022.Themaintenanceandrehabilitationofbridgearebecomingmoreandmoreimportant.InCaoLab,wearedoingresearchesintobridgedeteriorationmechanism,inspectionanddiagnostictechnology,bridgemaintenanceandmanagementtechnologyandsoontoaimatprolongingtheservicelifeofbridge.InCaolab,throughtheresearchforgraduationthesisandbasedontheengineeringknowledge,studentscouldenhancetheirabilityofacademicobservationandtosolveengineeringproblems.Theirspiritofcooperationandinternationalsensewillbedeveloped.Inthefuture,ascapableengineersorresearchersthegraduateswillworkandflourishincivilengineeringandotherfieldsnotonlyinJapanbutalsoovertheworld.Assistant ProfessorGraduated from XibeiPolytechnic Univ.,studied as a visiting scholar at national expenses in Osaka Pref.
