Aguirre HernanIn the FutureAfter GraduationEvolutionarycomputationisusedtofindoptimalsolutionstomulti-objective,largescale,complexoptimizationproblems.Evolutionarycomputationsimulatesevolutionanditisappliedtosolveavarietyofdesigninnovationandsustainabilityproblems.Smartpowergrids,intelligentmobilityandtransportationsystems,andintelligentwatergridsarethreekeysystemstowhichevolutionarycomputationcanbeusedtooptimizetheirdesignandimprovetheirsustainabilitytomeettheneedsofthefuture.Additionally,designinnovationinkeyindustries,suchasautomobileandspaceexploration,areareasinwhichevolutionarycomputationwillplayanimportantrole.IntheLaboratorywelearnaboutreal-worldproblem-solvingandoptimizationbycomputationalmeans.Thisrequiresaclearunderstandingoftheproblem,itsmodeling,andthecreationofaprogramtosolveit.Thereisalsoopportunitiestocollaborateinjointresearchwithindustry.Theseactivitiescomplementstheeducationreceivedintheundergraduatecurseandbroadenstheskillsofengineers.ProfessorEcuadorian Engineer.
