ScholarshipsSupport System奨学金 支援制度 As of May 2019, 21 students are receiving the MEXT scholarship at Shinshu University. The monthly stipend is currently 143,000 yen for graduate school students and 117,000 yen for undergraduate students. The amounts are subject to change. To apply from outside of Japan, please ask the Japanese embassy or consulate in your country for details.　信州大学では2019年５月現在で21名が受給しており、大学院留学生については月額143,000円、学部留学生については月額117,000円が支給されています（支給額は変更の可能性があります）。海外からの応募についての詳細は、当該国の日本国大使館または総領事館等にお問い合わせください。 Each international student will be matched with a tutor (a regular student at Shinshu University) whose task is to help the assigned international student in adjusting to life in Japan as soon as possible and to improve and promote their learning. As a general rule, this support system is available for undergraduate students in their first two-years and for graduate and research students in their first year.　生活上・勉学上の相談相手として信州大学の学生がチューターとして留学生を支援しています。学習・研究効果の向上を図るとともに日本の生活に早く慣れることができるようサポートします。対象期間は原則として学部学生は２年間、大学院生・研究生は１年間となっています。 Center for Global Education and Collaboration (GEC) offers Courses in Japanese language. Please refer to P.9 for more information. Supplementary Japanese Courses are offered at each campus. Details of the classes, such as level or scheduling may vary depending on the campus. In general, there are two types of scholarships for privately-financed students. One entails applying through Shinshu University, while the other requires applying directly to organizations which provide scholarships.
