Care points from a children’s point of view and encouragementfor autonomy in accordance with their development were included in the commentary.Searching for the actual experiencesof children with chronic conditionsChildren with chronic conditions have learnt many things through their experience after diagnoses and severe treatment. I am interested in the world of children to adolescents and young adults with chronic conditions for their lived experiences and knowledge, and continue eldwork in the activities and meetings of children with chronic conditions and their families. Data collection is based on interviews and participant observation. Interviews have been conducted mainly with children, adolescents and young adults with chronic condition, and their families, friends, or medical staff. Data has been analyzed by qualitative methods based on GTA and ethnography. After analyses of the data on children, adolescents and young adults with chronic conditions, we became aware of the limits of the analyses in uncovering their actual experiences without cutting or clipping researcher’s own thoughts. Following this, we have started to change the research method to modied GTA. There are many keys for people including adults to live their own lives brightly and happily. So I would like to interpret the meaning between the meaning of the passage of their experience with chronic conditions.Life experiences will prove to be very useful in the practical profession of nursing. Therefore, knowledge and learning to live independently is gained not only in the study of subjects but also through experiences and communication in daily life and through ordinary and special relationships. This will give you the power to endeavor in practice.Child Health NursingOutlook for researchOutlook for students after graduationFor the rich growth of all children : Care to support the autonomy of childrenWe are engaged in medical care, and need to support a “rich” growth of every child with his/her family and many other people. With the sophistication of medical care, while most newborns survive and grow, the number of children who need special medical care increases.Regardless of the illness or disability these children may have, they have the ability to grow on their own by interacting with people around them.I have been mainly studying the autonomy process of young children who need medical care or have chronic illness, and support by medical institutions and at home. I want to continue to support a rich growth of children with many people involved in the care of children. In past studies, “motivation” was chosen as a keyword to examine children’s autonomy. Children internalize their experiences and motivate themselves to subsequent actions while encouraging themselves and interacting with each other as well as being encouraged from outside. I want to examine the creation of an environment and involvement which lead to children’s autonomy from the time they are small.Young child care is the domain relating to the drastically changing period including the transition period from a newborn to an adult. It requires knowledge of children’s growth/development and family care, diseases specic to young children, care techniques in accordance with children, and collaboration including their families. It is deep and fun!Child Health NursingOutlook for researchOutlook for students after graduationGraduated from St. Luke’s College of Nursing.
