―10―Thinking about future nursing for outpatients that corresponds to changing timesIn recent years, the role of outpatient medical care and nursing has become more important due to the aging of the population, the increase in the number of patients with chronic diseases, the promotion of home medical care, shortening the average length of stay and so on.There is an increasing number of patients living in the community while having diseases, and it is necessary to provide high-quality nursing at outpatient settings. Nursing students will train at such an “outpatient” place, listen to the voices of patients when providing medical care at home, and learn skills as a medical person while listening to their thoughts. I am doing research on the theme of how students learn and grow their expertise in outpatient nursing.Outpatient nursing requires the ability to understand and respond to the needs of patients and their families. The role of outpatient nursing is wide, and I hope that our research will lead to the development of high-quality human resources working at such places. One of the capabilities required of a nurse is communication skill. This skill is very important to the work involved with people. You can learn the communication method as one of the nursing skills theoretically and master it as your own knowledge and skills.Adult Health NursingOutlook for researchOutlook for students after graduationGraduated from Toyama University grad-uate school. My current research, which involves staff in welfare facilities for elderly people and university students, is an exploration of forms of teamwork required in support services. I am also examining issues such as factors in the critical problem of staff turnover in facilities for elderly people, and interpersonal relations among care staff working with the elderly from the perspective of emotional labor.Graduated from Meiji Gakuin University. PhD in Nursing from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Joined the Institute of Health Science at Shinshu University in 2015 as a professor after working at Nagoya University, Tokyo Women’s Medical University(TWMU) and TWMU Hospital. Current area of specialization is gerontological nursing.ProfessorNobuko AidaI believe that if care staff in the workplace have condence and pride in their work and cooperate with each other, the quality of care rises, elderly people receiving care become happier, and the social value of care for elderly people increases. In order to contribute to the realization of world-class care for the elderly, join us in studying gerontological nursing. Nursing professionals who have awareness of others’ suffering, an inquiring mind to explore the essence of a problem, and the ability to take action to solve problems as a team are in high demand. I would like you to acquire not only specialist knowledge, but also a wide breadth of education.Gerontological NursingOutlook for researchOutlook for students after graduationNursingAdult and Geriatric NursingNursingAdult and Geriatric NursingIt is hoped that the quality of life of the patient will improveand be able to send a “life like that” along with the diseaseWhere to recuperate from the hospital to homeOutpatient nursing textStudents at day service practical training.
