Fujita LabNumerical Simulations of Supernova-Driven Multiphase Galactic Outflows and Galaxy Evolution using SupercomputersIn the Future After Graduation AkimiFujita,PhDAssociate ProfessorAfter getting PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia University, I worked at UCSB and Max Planck, and after many years of parental break, I am back to work! My research interests are galaxy formation/evolution, galactic outflows, and global education. In particular, high-mass stars end their lives as they explode themselves as supernovae. I model the effects of repeated supernova explosions in galaxies driving galactic outflows, using hydrodynamic simulations, and study their influence on galaxy formation and evolution. In recent years, I am interested in metal enriched, multiphase gas far above galactic disks where stars form, probed by metal absorption lines, so I am modeling ion distributions of galactic halos at >10-100 times the thickness of the disks as outflows travel far into them.Figures: Galactic outflow in M82 (NOAO/AURA/NSF Copyright WIYN Consortium, Inc. top right), the projected density distribution of a simulated galactic outflow (Fujita & Mac Low 2018 bottom right), and the temperature distribution of a zoomed-in simulation (left) Engineering Core Internship StaffTheAdvancedHumanResourcesDevelopmentInternshipProgramisaninternshipprogramaimedateducation.Long-termpracticaltrainingonathemetailoredtoeachindividualcreatedjointlybyacompanyanduswillbea"live"socialexperiencethatcannotbeexperiencedwithashort-terminternship.Also,thestrengthsandweaknessesthatarerecognizedthroughthepracticeareofgreathelpincharacterformationasasocietyperson.Thisinternshipprogramprovidesvariousskillsrequiredwhenenteringthesociety,throughfulfillingpre-andpost-MOTeducationintheuniversityandlong-termcorporatepractice.Anditisthebestopportunitytolookbackonyourself.GraduateSchoolofScienceandTechnology1stgraderHirohito MatsuokaAssociate ProfessorMonozukuriand Human Potential development based on Industry-University Collaboration122studentsweredispatchedto58companiesinthepast10years.Majordispatchdestination:TAMAGAWASEIKICO.,LTD.,ORIONMACHINERYCO.,LTD.,SikoEpsonCorporation,HarmonicDriveSystemsInc.,HIOKIE.E.CORPORATION,ShinanoKenshiCo.,Ltd.Qualification for EntryInternshipDispatchDestinationExample of prior lecture (2017)Engineering Core 72
