Themagneticdevices,sensors,andthemagneticmaterialsforthemsupportingtheadvancedsystemareresearchinganddevelopingintheAdvancedMagneticDevices(SatoandSonehara)Laboratorycollaboratingwithvariouslabs.,academicinstitutions,andcompanies.Prof.Soneharaandhisresearchgrouparedevelopingthehigh-frequencythinfilminductorandnoisefilterforthesupersmartsociety(Society5.0),asmallandlightweightpowersupplyandaregenerativebrakefortheaircraft,andanopticalprobecurrentsensorfornextgenerationinfrastructure.Recently,weareresearchingthedevicesusingvariousmaterialsaswellasmagneticmaterials.“High”Devices/CircuitsforNextGenerationSyst.-HighValue-AddedDeviceswithHighFrequency/Efficiency/Accuracy-Electrical& Computer EngineeringManyAMDLgraduatesworkinthevariouscompanies,andtheresearchinstitutes,etal.Theyhasnotonlyaskilloftheelectricalandelectronicengineeringbutalsoanideaoftheglobalenvironmentandthesavingenergy.Ibelievethatiftheabovedevicesandsensorsarerealized,theywillsupportapartinhardwaretechnologyofthesupersmartsocietyandthenextgenerationaircraftindustry/infrastructure.Inaddition,anydevice/sensorleadstohighefficiencyofthesystem,contributingtoalow-carbonsocietyasitwillsavetheenergybythedevicelevel.In the FutureAfter GraduationAMDL(Sato-Sonehara)LabMakotoSONEHARAAssociateProf.(2013-),Dr.(Eng.,2007)Researchfiled;High-frequencydevices/circuits,andsensors,etal.The students who fabricates the magnetic film using by the sputtering method, and Prof. Sonehara who explains the process to the researchers of a company.An example of high-frequency thin film devices for the Society 5.0 (lower left photo; an inductor, lower right photo; a noise filter).TheGREENtechnologyforhighly-efficientuseofelectricenergymustbedevelopedtorealizesustainablesociety.Toachievetheobjective,notonlypowerelectronicsincludingpowersemiconductordevicesbutalsopowermagneticsincludingmagneticmaterials/devicesmustbeadvanced.CurrentlytheAdvancedMagneticDevicesLaboratory(AMDL;http://amdl.shinshu-u.ac.jp)isdevelopinganovelmagneticmaterials/devicesforadvancedpowerelectronicssystemcollaboratingwithOsakaUniversityandsomecompanies.AnexampleofPower‐electronicsusedintheHybridElectricVehicle.ForHighly-efficientUseofElectric-energy-CooperationofPower-electronicsandPower-magnetics-Electrical& Computer EngineeringManyAMDLgraduatesworkinthevariouscompanies,andtheresearchinstitutes,etal.Theyhavenotonlyaskilloftheelectricalandelectronicengineeringbutalsoanideaoftheglobalenvironmentandthesavingenergy.Inthenearfuture,aninsufficiencyoftheelectricpowerwillbeseriousissue.Thereforeitisnecessarytodevelopthegreentechnologyforthesustainablesociety.Wecollaboratewithvariouscompaniesanduniversitieswithdifferenttechnologysuchasmaterials,devices,andsystem,sothatweresearchanddevelopthegreenelectronicsdevicesandsystemusingpowermagneticstechnology.In the FutureAfter GraduationAMDL(Sato-Sonehara)LabToshiroSatoProfessor(2005-),Ph.D.(1989)Research field; High frequency magnetic materials, microwave and power magnetics, and magnetic sensor, et al.20
