Since age-related diseases are likely to increase in the near future, both basic research and development of therapeutic reagents are necessary for prevention. Most of these diseases are caused by disruption of signaling networks of cell growth and differentiation, metabolism, inflammation and immune systems. Our laboratory aims to establish the molecular basis for the etiology of these diseases by analyzing signaling networks to develop their prevention and treatment.
