Department of Bioscience and Food Production Science - Course Outline
This course carries out research and education on building theories and advancing technologies in order to develop sustainable food production on an environment conservation basis and establish innovative systematized techniques for food production based on bioscience. It consists of the four chairs of Biology and Bioscience, Science of Food Resource Production, Food Science, and Science of Functional Food Creation (collaborative chair).
While based on agriculture and science, the chairs combine to foster, through research and education on a broad range of interdisciplinary fields including medicine and pharmacology, high-level professional engineers and researchers with a precise and comprehensive scientific intellect and creativity for food.
