In the normal selection process, applicants must have three years or more of business experience or have already completed a postgraduate course.
In the selection process based on recommendation (as of March 2011), either of the two conditions below must apply.
(1) The applicant is expected to graduate from a university by the end of March 2011
(2) In the case of overseas applicants, a total of 16 years of education should be completed by between April 2010 and March 2011, or be expected to be complete.
The selection process consists of evaluation of application forms and documentation, a short report and an interview. For details please consult the guidance provided in the call for applications.

(2) Out of consideration for the position of students who are working in companies, we arrange special short courses as far as possible in the summer, spring and autumn breaks, or at weekends. Occasional unscheduled classes are arranged to fit the mutual convenience of the students and teacher.
(3) Lectures are normally held at the Nagano campus, but occasionally other facilities may be used where the teachers and students see fit. But in such cases, we ensure that there is no barrier to study.
(4) The time and place of occasional and short courses are decided between the teacher and students beforehand. In particular, technology and training related subjects, there may be difficulties in using the facilities so it is important to consult adequately beforehand.

Class Fees (First/ second semesters) | 267,900-JPY/semester |

The long-term study system is designed to spread the cost of School attendance over a longer period to lighten the financial burden. The outline of the scheme is summarised below but please ask the Management School office for further details.
As a general rule, mature students who are working and the circumstances of their occupation may vary, so that the time for acquiring the necessary number of credits and receiving guidance on research may be limited. Consequently it may be necessary to extend the standard period of 2 years for the degree course, and some applicants may thus wish to apply to study over a longer period from the start.
(an application submitted in the second year will not however be accepted).
At the start of the academic year
This cannot be extended beyond four years (not including any period when absence from school is authorised)
Please submit the appropriate application before the specified submission deadline to the Management School office. In the case that the student is already in a period of authorised absence, an application for change in the study plan should be submitted. In the event that the student whose application for an extended study period has been accepted, wishes to subsequently shorten the enrolment period, the appropriate application should be submitted 6 months before the intended date of completion (i.e. by the end of September for a spring graduation; by the end of March for an autumn graduation).
The class fees for a shortened course will be based on the number of years in enrolment after the reduction. Any outstanding balance should be paid in October (for those planning to complete in spring) or in April (for those planning to complete in autumn).
(1) Those wishing to suspend their enrolment should as a matter of principle submit the appropriate application to the Management School office one month before the planned suspension, with comments and signature by either the adviser or guidance professor.
◎ For instance, in the event that enrolment is to be suspended from the first of April, application should be submitted before the end of February
◎ In the event that enrolment is to be suspended from the first of October, application should be submitted before the end of August
NB: in the event that submission is later than these deadlines, you would be responsible for the following period's class fees.
(2) If the student is forced to move in the middle of term, and it becomes impossible to complete the classes in which he/she is registered, the registration and participation in the final exam may be cancelled.
(3) Because it is not possible to extend the enrollment period beyond a total of four years, it is better to suspend enrollment whenever circumstances make it temporarily impossible to continue with the course. If absence from the school is taken without the proper authorisation, that period will not be recognised, and will be treated as if attendance at school was continuous.
