The Department of Fine Materials Engineering aims for an education program and a research program of materials engineering that can contribute to the development of sustainable social systems and solve resource, energy and environmental crises. The engineering for circulatory developement of sustainable society is based on the following. 1. Development of novel materials with high functionality 2. Characterization of new materials by mathamatical methods 3. Process developement and system design with economic and ecologic consideration 4. Integration engineering of the above mentioned technology The department's goal is to educate engineers and researchers with general, flexible and global points of view for designing and developing sustainable materials and systems. |
