Mitsubishi Rayon strengthens the carbon fiber production November, 2016

Mitsubishi Rayon will strengthen the production of large tow type PAN-based carbon fiber at Ohtake Plant in Hiroshima. By improving the existing plant, the annual production capacity will be increased from 2,700 tons to 3,900 tons. The production line is largest in the PAN-based carbon fiber industry. Mitsubishi Rayon will increase the line further by nearly 50%, to boost their competitiveness, to increase their share in various industrial applications such as wind electricity, and to prepare for an increase of the car application.
