Teijin expands its production capacity of high-modulus and high-tenacity fiber about 10 %. Teijin enforces the facility by investing about JY 1.5 billion. The enforcement is to cope with the increasing demand for the industrial application including rubber reinforcement materials for automobile parts and civil engineering materials. The capacity will increase the production of para-aramid fiber possessing high impact strength and good chemical resistance, which is used for protective clothing and ground reinforcement material. The spinning facility will be expanded at Matsuyama Plant, and the bottleneck at the polymerization process be resolved to improve its productivity. The enforcement project will start from June, and the facility is expected to run from October, 2017.
