Seiren continues expanding the application of PPS as industrial materials. PPS will be adopted in commercial filters in 2016, and the volume of its shipment reaches a level of a few tons per year. Seiren takes advantage of its high spinning and texturizing technology, and is credited with unconventional applications, for example, by supplying ultrafine filament or low-density 100 % PPS thermo-fused nonwoven. Seiren aims an early full-scale production of the plant of the 200-ton/year capacity by expanding its market to the area of general industrial materials, electric/electronic parts and protective clothing.
