PDF Study on Regional Thermal Resistance of Clothes in Motion by Means of Thermal Manikin

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.1 Vol.1

Clo values of clothes were measured when they tremble in one's motion who wears them by means of a thermal manikin of natural size which can change its pose and motion, and the values were compared with those in the static standing posture of the manikin.
Experimental results were as follows:
1) Compared with the do values in the static standing posture, thermal resistance in motion was reduced and the effect of bellows actions was found in each part of the clothes.
2) Bellows actions became more intensive with the increase of motion speeds, but the ventilation from the sleeve mouth of the arm region was hardly generated.
3) Since the lower half of the body wearing one-piece dress has a large opening of the skirt, ventilation of the air within the clothes is especially intensive and the femoral region rather tends to be cooled in motion.
