PDF Study on Regional Thermal Resistance of Sportswear in Walking and in Running

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.2 Vol.2

We measured regional thermal resistance of sportswear by causing a thermal manikin which can change its pose and motion and can sweat to walk and to be subjected to a head wind with laminar flow as fast as the walking speed of the manikin. The results were compared with the values in the static standing posture without wind and without sweating. Experimental results were as follows.
 1) Compared with the do values (I total) of the sportswear in the static standing posture without sweating, those in the static standing posture with swearing (with wetness 1.0) were lower by 40%, those in walking without sweating were lower by 20% and those in walking with seating were lower just by 60%.
 2) Clo values of the sportswear itself (Icl) when sweating were reduced to a half or less of those in the static standing posture without sweating.
