PDF Physiological Effects of Slow Distance Swimming

 This study was to know the effects of slow distance swimming in sea. Four male students were examined heart rate, blood pressure and some items in blood. Sampling at fasted early morning, the previous day, the day and the next day, and immediately after 4.5 hours distance swimming.
The following results were obtained;
1) Heart rate and blood pressure changed slightly, but effected till next morning.
2) Glucose and free fatty acids increased while swimming, but recovered at next morning.
3) From these enzymes, this swimming was not so sever stress for the subjects.
