PDF Multi Analysis of Wear Comfort

 The microclimate within clothing, i.e., temperature and relative humidity between the human skin and clothing, would be one of the most important factors for wear comfort. An experimental examination has been made to investigate a relation between the results on the physical properties of clothing and the mental wear comfort on the field test by use of socks.
 The experimental results of men's socks are summarized as follows:
1) The wear comfort of men's socks are expressed by the subjective estimations of humidity, temperature and softness of touch.
2) By the multi analysis method, the relation between the wear comfort and the physical properties is expressed as following equation.
 Y=1.880a₁-0.539a₂-0.014a₃+0.277a₄-0.461
 where, Y; wear comfortability
  a₁; physical warmbility
  a₂, a₃, a₄; physical transit wettability
3) The softness of touch has a high correlation with the physical warmbility and wettability.
