PDF Developping Training Menu for Speed-Skaters on the Base of Blood Lactate Concentration after each Training Activity

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.9 Vol.9

The purpose of this study was to refine the training menu for the speed-skaters by measuring blood lactate concentration (La) during and after the existing training activities. Arterialized whole blood samples were obtained from pre-warmed finger-tips of the 10 high school students, who are the members of the Gumma Speed-skate Union.
Blood lactate concentrations after the repetition trainings, which are designed for sprinters and consisted of 5 sets of 45-seconds maximal exercises with 5-minutes rest, were higher than those after the interval training, which are for long-distance skaters and consisted of 5 sets of 90-seconds exercise of less intensities with 1 minute intervals. Among the training exercises, the highest La was observed after the repetition training of maximal bicycling (17mM/l).
Even after the weight training and roler skating, La of 10mMte were observed. Data obtained from this study may be useful for selecting best training exercise with the same purpose, and refining training for the speedskaters.
