What Pattern on Costumes Impress us Artistically?

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of pattern of costumes in taking exercise.
We often see the leotards with stripes or geomatrical patterns on sides of body.
Does their various patterns on leotards impress us artistically?
In this paper, six patterns (A, B, C, D, E, F,) were examined.
Results were as follows.
1. In spinal flexion and extension, pattern A (narrow line parallel to axillar line) and pattern E (line parallel and diagonal to axillar line) contributed to the artistic impression of leotards.
2. In lateral flexion, pattern E was artistic.
3. In rotation, pattern B (wide line parallel to axillar line) and pattern E were artistic.
4. In every movement, pattern D (line on waist) was less artistic than others.
5. In conclusion, pattern E was most impressive and favorable than others.
