Development of the ultimate wearable system
【Supercategory:4. Techtextiles Subcategory:4.7 For medical and healthcare】
We are working to develop wearable systems that integrate fabric sensors capable of detecting compression or expansion and contraction into bed sheets, clothing, and other items. We conduct clinical trials in which we use these systems to measure biological information such as subjects’ posture, body movements, and breathing. During this academic year, we plan to identify areas where the fabric sensors and system can be improved and to enhance their specifications based on the results of analyzing data from these clinical trials and on evaluations from health care professionals.
