【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.15 Vol.15

 In physical education when teaching a soccer game for pupils with mental retardation, it is important to give the adequate gaidance to individuals in order to make them realize the meaning of "a goal", or to make them enjoy the game itself. To increase the interest and the motivation for movement, we tried to use an electronic hobby device which generate a growling of a popular monster ("GODZILLA") at the moment when a pupil shot a goal. And the adequate indices were also examined to estimate their motivational intention for movement.
 As a result, the followings became evident ;
 1) Growling of a monster was effective to attract pupils' interest and intention for movement.
 2) The pupils, who had only been able to shoot a goal by virtue of the growling voice, could play actively without the aid of the voice thereafter.
 3) As an index to reflect their intentions for movement. Length of the duration to play a game was more adequate than the frequency of shooting.
