Functional evaluation of the textile material on which ZnO particles were.
【Supercategory:2. Fiber manufacturing Subcategory:2.5 Fiber/yarn physical properties, evaluation】
We fixed ZnO particles on cotton and polyester fabric using two methods (dip dyeing and printing) with the goal of effective functionality imparting to textile materials. After evaluating the fixed ratio, ultraviolet shielding properties, heat shielding properties, sensation of coolness upon contact, and deodorizing properties of the fabrics we produced, we found that the samples for which the particles had been fixed on cotton using the printing method exhibited excellent fixed ratio and each functionality. Cotton and printing method provide more conducive conditions to functionality imparting than polyester and dip dyeing, respectively.
