PDF Physiological and Movement Characteristics during a Game of Soccer Players

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.18 Vol.18

The purposes of this study were to clarify physiological and movement charactenstics during a game of soccer players. Ten elite university soccer players, consisting of forwarder (FW), mid-fielder (MF) and de-fender (DF) participated as the subjects. The subjects were measured for maximum oxygen uptake (Vo₂max) and maximum heart rate (HRmax) in the laboratory, and oxygen uptake (Vo₂), heart rate (HR), blood lactic acid (La), movement distance and speed during the game. Vo₂max and HRmax were determined by the exhaustive running test using a treadmill Vo₂ and HR during the game were measured throughout the game using a respective portable apparatus. Movement distance and speed during the game were measured using triangular method. As a results, Vo₂ and Vo₂max, HR and %HRmax, and La during the game were 37.0±8.5ml・kg⁻¹・min⁻¹ and 61.9±13.4%, 153.7±12.1beats・min⁻¹ and 79.3±6.1%, and 4.8±1.7mmol・l⁻¹, respectively. The energy expenditure during the game were 1140.4±189.2kcal and 0.185±0.022kcal・kg⁻¹・min⁻¹. Movement distance during the game were 10777.3±502.8m. About seventy percent of the movement distance during the game was covered at below 4m・sec⁻¹. These results suggest that the university soccer players maintained aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise of high intensity was carried out intermittently during the game.
