 We have developed a new fiber spreading technology (FUKUI method) to obtain the continuously wide and thin reinforcing fiber-tow.
 We have developed the processing technology for producing at high speed the thin prepreg sheet below 0.05mm in thickness using a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin.
 The mechanical tests were conducted on the thin-ply laminates which were produced by stacking these prepreg sheets. As a result, we have found that there are some characteristic thin-ply effects when thinning the layer thickness that make up the laminate composite.
