Development of Melt Extrusion Process and Polymer Nano-rods or hairs Fabrication with Nano-template

【Supercategory:2. Fiber manufacturing Category:2.1 Special fiber Subcategory:2.1.1 Nanofiber

Nano-Patterning was achieved by applying nano-porous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membranes as mold inserts in thermal nano-imprinting. The AAO membrane has closely packed nano-holes; depending on the AAO membrane used, the nano-holes have a diameter from 50 to 100 nm and a depth of 160 micron. The filling behaviors of different-sized structures were investigated by using polystyrene as an amorphous polymer and polypropylene as a crystallized polymer.
