Estimation of intrinsic strength of carbon fibers

The development of low cost production process and the searching for new starting materials for carbon fibers are being actively investigated aiming at expanding the utilization of CFRP in automotive industry. For this purpose, it is required to estimate the intrinsic strength of the carbon fibers under consideration. The present study intends to develop a method to estimate the intrinsic strength.
