【Supercategory:2. Fiber manufacturing Category:2.1 Special fiber Subcategory:2.1.1 Nanofiber

写真
Nanofiber is defined as the fiber-like substance whose (1)diameter is 1nm to 100nm(or 1000nm in application), and the aspect ratio is more than 100 times, that is “nanosize fiber” or (2) precise structure controlled in the order of nanometer size for inside, outside and surface of the fiber without depending on the thickness, that is ”nanostructure fiber”. There are various industrial manufacturing processes for nanofiber production, which are electrospinning, melt air spinning, conjugate spinning and meltblown. The potential applications of nanofibers are fundamental technologies (1) for the realization of highly developed information and communication society, (2) for health and extension of life, (3)for environmental, energy and infrastructure industries.
