PDF Effect of the addition of nano-cray on the physical properties of the bacterial polyesters and on the structure and the property of the melt-spun fibers

【Supercategory:2. Fiber manufacturing Category:2.1 Special fiber Subcategory:2.1.2 Biofiber

Montmollironite organically treated with amines with various alkyl chain lengths were added to the bacterial polyesters. They were melt-spun into fibers. Intercalation of the polyester chain into montmollironite formed a slightly crosslinked structure. This structure increased the extensional tension applied to the melt-spinline and promoted the crystallization and the molecular orientation in the spinline. Due to these effects, the fibers obtained have a good mechanical property.
