Mitsubishi Rayon has developed light 3-core-hollowed fiber with an excellent moisture retain. September, 2015
【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.3 New products of 2015】
The fiber could be made into a yarn about 15 to 20 %, about 45 % and about 35 % lighter than conventional polypropylene yarn, polyester yarn and nylon yarn, respectively. The fiber has a three-core-hollowed structure with a special melt-spinning technology which provides three air layers in the fiber cross-section. Its moisture retaining capacity increases about 15 to 20 % in comparison with polypropylene. Mitsubishi Rayon offers “LIVEAIR” for the wide range of applications including the industrial textile area such as a tent, the materials for elderly care, and the sports apparels.
