Toray has developed a hybrid-type artificial leather “ultrasuede nu” which possesses both a silver-grain luster and suede-like touch. A new product has much finer texture than “ultrasuede”.
　The product is already to be employed for a specially-ordered car seat for German Recano and some fashion items. The “ultrasuede” is a suede-type artificial leather made of ultrafine fiber (ca. 0.19 denier) with Toray’s original production technology. A new product “ultrasuede nu” has been developed by resin finishing of raised surface on the base of the high-densely structured artificial leather derived from the ultrafine fiber production technology and the basic fabric structural design technology in order to reveal fine texture. The product is expected to be employed for car seats, seats for trains or buses, wall papers, tec.
