Teijin’s plant in Ayutthaya, Thailand, for meta-Aramid fiber “Teijinconex neo” has run into full production and started commercial sales. Not like conventional meta-Aramid fiber in market, “Teijinconex neo” has a good dyeability, and could be piece-dyed.
The aggregate investment on this plant amounts about JPY 4.5, and its production capacity is 2,200 t/year. Teijin expects to cope with the increasing demand for the products related to fire-fighting and protection due to the fast economic growth in Asia. Teijin produces meta-Aramid fiber in its site of Teijin Corporation (Thailand), and strengthens its delivery system in order to respond flexibly to the customers’ demand for delivery deadline.
