Toray Industries, Inc. has announced their success in establishing a chemical recycling technology for nylon 66, by deploying their new and proprietary depolymerisation technology using subcritical water. The depolymerisation technology allows efficient recovery of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid with high yield, to regenerate nylon 66 through repolymerisation.
