UNITIKA has developed smoke-proof glass-fiber reinforced resin sheet “U-CLEAR SHEET A” for vertical wall to prevent smoke flow generated by fire. The sheet has a good transparency for lights of overall wavelengths and a low haze value which indicates low clouding, so that the letters can be read clearly through the sheet. The sheet is also light and ensures safety. Although the cost is higher than conventional glass plate, the weight is only 1/10 and has higher safety since the sheet would not break when fallen down. The sheet is easily processed and the workability is good at installment. UNITIKA starts supplying the sheet for smoke-proof vertical wall installed at the ceilings of the commercial facilities and offices.
