TEIJIN has developed bombproof fabric made of para-aramid fiber to guard armed cars. TEIJIN plans to apply the fabric as a spall liner of armed cars (a bombproof liner mounted inside of metal-made armed cars such as iron, aluminum and titan) by combining with resin. Newly developed bombproof fabric TWARON T765 is made of TWARON by stacking and knitting vertically, and this special knitting technology will provide sufficient thickness and durability with smaller amount in comparison with conventional fabrics. Since TWARON is light and its performance is high in terms of tenacity, impact strength, modulus and heat-resistance, newly developed fabric is expected to reveal higher bombproof performance and cost performance than conventional liners.
