TORAY developed polyester inner cotton with better heat insulation for mattress. TORAY plans to commercialize the mattress with newly developed inner cotton in autumn, but also supply polyester inner cotton itself. This cotton inner is composed of multiple polyester fibers of various cross-sectional diameters and non-circular shapes, and the weight is as light as 1 to 7 dtex. It contains more space between fibers to accommodate air, so that the heat insulation effect is improved. . Although the price is 20 to 30 % more expensive than the conventional polyester inner cotton, it is less expensive than feather and washable.
