ASAHI KASEI FIBERS started promoting the application of multi-layer laminated nonwoven “PRECISE” as the sound absorption material. PRECISE is made of an ultra-fine fiber layer sandwitched by spun-bond nonwoven layers, and is characterized by its homogeneous pore size distribution and high barrier property. PRECISE is penetrated in the market as the application to separation membrane supporter or filter. PRECISE is expected further to be applied as an excellent sound absorption covering material due to the ultra-fine fiber layer. By utilizing its light weight, the application is expected as a sound absorption material for the automotive door trim, ceiling and trunks. ASAHI KASEI FIBERS start supplying PRECISE to the processing industries in order to expand a new area of application.
