MITSUBISHI RAYON developed sheath-core structured textile “KIST”. The conjugate textile is composed of a specially structured yarn with low-crystalline cellulose in the core and acetate in the sheath and a special polyester yarn. The low-crystalline cellulose in the core exhibits high moisture absorbance by modified/improved component by post-processing, and suppresses the feeling of wet and dump. The water retained in the specially structured yarn evaporates immediately when the textile touches skin, and causes fresh and cool touch due to the heat of evaporation characteristic to acetate fiber. MITSUBISHI RAYON launches the textile first for high-class lady’s blouse in the spring/summer season, and plans to expand the items subsequently.
