Toyobo MC Corporation has developed with a Japanese bed manufacturer FRANCE BED CO., LTD., a dual firmness mattress for aged care “Twin Wave”. For the mattress, Toyobo’s three-dimensional mesh fabric “BREATHAIR” is used as filling. Two BREATHAIR layers are contained in the mattress, the layers being different from each other in terms of firmness. Users can choose which layer they prefer as an upper surface. The mattress is designed to have edges that are firm enough to keep users stable, when they sit down and also try to stand up with their hands. Users can take care of the Twin Wave mattress easily, because the BREATHAIR fabric is washable and quick dry.
