Teijin Frontier has launched a 100% recycled polyester fabric “COOLSHELL CARAT.” The fabric has a dual-layer design in which the inner layer works to repel water and absorb sweat, and the outer layer works to release absorbed sweat. The company’s conventional and new “WAVERON” yarns are optimally placed for forming the inner layer. The WAVERON brand is flat and has a unique cross section with wave shapes on the upper and bottom surfaces. The conventional WAVERON yarn is sweat absorbing, while the new PFAS-free WAVERON yarn is water repellent. As the COOLSHELL CARAT fabric keeps dry, users can feel cool and comfortable during wearing.
