TEIJIN succeeded to make 100% CNT fiber June, 2013

TEIJIN developed 100% carbon nanotube (CNT) fiber in collaboration with Rice University and others.
CNT aligns regularly along the fiber axis, and the mass production is foreseen by applying the solution liquid crystal spinning developed for para-type aramid fiber “Twaron”. The 100% CNT fiber is expected to replace cupper wire for the communication cable and to be applied in the medical area.
