TOYOBO strengthens the production capacity of cushion materials for bed mattress and rail vehicle by expanding the production line at Tsuruga Plant and readjusting the production line in Europe and South-East Asia.
Tsuruga Plant produces 500t/year at present. Since Toyobo has contracted to supply this cushion material for the bed mattress to be sold at large retail stores, the production will be increased double-fold to 1,100 t/year in 2013 by full operation of the facility. Toyobo will prepare the production system of the 2,000 t/year capacity by expanding the present line in 2014 and 2015.Toyobo will start the production of cushion material in the German partnership plant from the next summer, and is planning to supply 1,100 t/year to European countries in 2018 when the German partnership plant will be in full operation.
