UNITIKA developed high-performance water-proof sheet which shields radioactive ray.
UNITIKA plans to explore the application as a bag or sheet used for transpotation or at (temporary) storage area of decontamination waste needed to shield radioactive ray. The foundation cloth of a newly developed radioactive-ray-shielding/water-proof high performance sheet shields radioactive ray, made of the fiber containing high density inorganic materials safe to the human body, and processed into a sheet of approximately 2 mm thick with flame-retardent resin containing high-density radioactive-ray-shielding inorganic materials.
