TORAY rolls out bio-based nylon made from non-edible plants in the clothing field.
Applying nylon 610 made from castor-oil plant, TORAY expands the sales of the fabrics made of approximatey 60 % bio-based material for sportswear etc. TORAY has so far expanded the sales of bio-based nylon mostly to the techological field. However, considering the increase of eco-friendly consumers, TORAY strengthens the application of bio-based nylon to clothings.
