【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.1 New products of 2013】
TORAY enforces the biomass-derived fiber business. TORAY starts the investigation of new potential markets and the research and development of the commercial products of poly(lactic acid) (PLA), poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (3GT), bio poly(ethylene terephthalate), and polyamide 56. TORAY plans to develop those bio-derived materials as advanced materials by improving their functions. A special emphasis will be placed on the development of life materials and the greening technology of deserts from polylactic acid fiber in addition to the durable materials such as automotive interior materials by utilizing the biodegradable characteristics.
