Kuraray develops new heat- resistant CFRP(KURARAY)August, 2023
【Supercategory:6. Products Subcategory:6.11 New products of 2023】
Kuraray has developed a new heat-resistant composite, using reactions between matrix resins. The heat forming using mixed nonwovens consisting of phenoxy resins, polycarbonate fibres, and carbon fibres, enables the reacted matrix resins to form high performance carbon fibre reinforced plastics that the heat distortion temperature is 300 degrees or higher. As each resin is formed with a temperature of less than 300 degrees, facilities for normal engineering plastics can be used, and energy can be saved when forming.
